GiriToday Connects African Artisans with Global Buyers, Redefining E-Commerce

GiriToday, a newly launched e-commerce platform founded by ex-Flutterwave VP Wale Ayantoye and Ola Ajiboye, is revolutionizing how African artisans and entrepreneurs sell their products globally. Unlike existing platforms like Etsy, which involve middlemen and long shipping times, GiriToday allows direct sales from African sellers to international buyers, with delivery in just five days.

The platform integrates local and international payments via Flutterwave, ensures product authenticity through verification centers, and eliminates intermediaries inflating prices. Targeting the African diaspora and global buyers, GiriToday aims to make African-made goods more accessible while empowering local businesses.

With a multi-revenue model that includes transaction fees, in-app ads, and trade financing, GiriToday is positioning itself as a game-changer in African e-commerce. The startup is currently raising $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to expand operations across Africa.
