MTN Nigeria is relocating its headquarters to Eko Atlantic, joining major firms like First Bank and Dangote Group in the growing business hub. The 10-square-kilometer city, known for its modern infrastructure and strategic location, is attracting top corporations and even the United States Embassy, which is also building a new diplomatic facility there.
MTN CEO Karl Toriola confirmed that construction will begin once equipment is secured, underscoring the telecom giant’s commitment to long-term investment in Lagos. While the cost of construction remains undisclosed, land prices in Eko Atlantic range from $1,050 to $1,150 per square meter, with additional fees pushing total costs higher.
Apart from its headquarters, MTN is also developing West Africa’s largest Tier 4 data center on the Lagos mainland, a 1,500-rack facility designed to boost Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and serve as a carrier-neutral hub for ISPs and cloud providers.
