Microsoft and Founderz have introduced AI Skills 4 Women, a new initiative aimed at addressing the gender gap in artificial intelligence by offering free AI training to women across EMEA, including Ukraine. The program is designed to increase female participation in the AI sector, where women currently represent only 22% of professionals, 12% of researchers, and 16% of faculty members.
The training, which is accessible to women of all skill levels, includes expert-led courses from industry leaders and provides 150 scholarships for top-performing participants. By removing financial and accessibility barriers, the initiative seeks to create more opportunities for women to engage with AI, contribute to its development, and foster a more inclusive technology sector.
Microsoft’s Country Manager for the Baltics and Ukraine, Leonid Polupan, emphasized the importance of diversity in AI development, stating that the program aims to equip thousands of women with the skills needed to participate in the growing AI industry.
