
Swedfund, Sweden’s development finance institution, is investing $41 million (€40 million) into the Emerging Africa & Asia Infrastructure Fund (EAAIF) to boost sustainable infrastructure across Africa, the Levant, and South and Southeast Asia. Managed by Ninety One, the fund focuses on climate action, inclusivity, and economic transformation in regions struggling with energy access and digital connectivity.
Since 2001, EAAIF has provided over $2.5 billion in financing for infrastructure projects in more than 20 African countries. Swedfund’s latest investment will strengthen partnerships with key private players like Allianz and Standard Bank to drive high-impact projects.
