Anambra State is making strides in digital governance and revenue automation through its participation in the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Intelligent Revenue Authority (IRA) Validation Workshop organized by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on January 27, 2025, in Abuja.
The workshop provided a platform for states to assess their readiness for DPI implementation, which integrates digital identity, data ecosystems, and payment systems to enhance economic growth and public service efficiency.
Anambra’s delegation, including representatives from the Anambra ICT Agency and the Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), engaged in discussions on policy alignment, best practices, and technology-driven solutions for improving governance.
Key takeaways included state-specific assessments, strategy development, and collaboration insights to bridge digital gaps and enhance revenue administration. Anambra plans to strengthen its digital infrastructure, adopt DPI-compliant solutions, and improve legal and administrative frameworks.
This initiative marks another step towards building a truly digital-first economy in Anambra State.
