Africans were already sending money; FinTechs just made it easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fintech: Clear Value, Rapid Growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Success Story<\/strong>: Fintech captured <strong>60% of all African venture capital<\/strong> last year. That\u2019s a massive share.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Why it&#8217;s working<\/strong>: Fintech addresses a <strong>clear, urgent problem<\/strong>\u2014Africans need better ways to send, receive, and manage money.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Example: <strong>$56 billion<\/strong> in remittances flowed into Africa in 2024. Fintechs made these transactions <strong>faster, cheaper, and easier<\/strong>, riding on existing demand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In short: <strong>There was already a customer need. Unlike fintech\u2014where products solve urgent, well-defined problems\u2014many edtech ventures chase hype (like AI) without understanding their users or how to generate revenue. The result?
