This collaboration brings together EV24.africa’s pan‑African electric vehicle sourcing and delivery capabilities with ZEMIA’s leadership within Zambia’s local e‑mobility ecosystem, aiming to make electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible for businesses, fleets, institutions, and individual consumers nationwide.

Zambia is emerging as an important market for electric mobility, driven by rising fuel prices, urban growth, and increasing demand for cost‑effective and environmentally responsible transportation options. Crucially, the country’s electricity generation is relatively clean due to its reliance on hydropower, meaning that electrifying transport can yield substantial emissions reductions when compared with conventional internal combustion vehicles.

Despite this potential, EV adoption in Zambia has faced hurdles including limited local availability of electric vehicles, fragmented supply chains, and early‑stage infrastructure. The new partnership between EV24.africa and ZEMIA seeks to address these challenges by creating a coordinated, end‑to‑end electric mobility framework. Under this pact, EV24.africa will leverage its global and pan‑African sourcing network to supply a wide range of electric vehicles — including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and fleet options — and will handle logistics, customs clearance, and nationwide delivery tailored to the Zambian market.

ZEMIA, drawing on its institutional mandate and deep local stakeholder relationships, will focus on raising market awareness, advocating for supportive policies, and coordinating engagement with regulators, utilities, and private‑sector actors. Its role is central to building the local ecosystem necessary for sustainable adoption, helping to harmonise efforts across ride‑hailing, logistics, corporate and public institutional fleets, and infrastructure developers.

By combining EV24.africa’s logistical reach and vehicle portfolio with ZEMIA’s local insight and advocacy, the partnership aims not only to expand EV uptake but also to reduce operational costs, cut carbon emissions, and modernize Zambia’s mobility systems. If successful, this collaboration could position Zambia as a leading example of scalable electric mobility deployment in Southern Africa — catalysing broader regional transition towards cleaner, more efficient transportation.

In a significant development for sustainable transport in Southern Africa, EV24.africa has entered a strategic partnership with the Zambia Electric Mobility Initiative Association (ZEMIA) to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility across Zambia.
