The company says it has served more than 50,000 customers and currently operates in Abuja and Lagos.

The upgraded platform is designed to improve how customers access these services while strengthening the technology supporting OyaNow’s operations. Artificial intelligence has been integrated into several areas of the business, including customer service, finance, dispatch, operations and management intelligence.

Rather than presenting AI as a separate product, OyaNow is using it as an underlying technology to help automate processes, improve response times and enable its teams to make better use of operational data. The company believes this approach can make everyday services more efficient while allowing it to scale its operations.

The launch of OyaNow Pay is another major part of the company’s latest expansion. The new offering brings bill payments and other digital convenience services into the OyaNow ecosystem, allowing customers to handle more everyday needs through one platform.

This move reflects a wider trend among African technology companies to combine multiple services within a single digital ecosystem. Instead of using separate platforms for deliveries, payments and other routine activities, customers can increasingly access several services from one application.

OyaNow’s existing platform already connects customers with restaurants, grocery providers, pharmacies, logistics services and other businesses. Its website also highlights services covering food ordering, package delivery, home services and other forms of convenience.

The company says the upgraded platform will also support businesses by improving the infrastructure behind its logistics and service network. Merchants, delivery personnel and professional service providers remain important parts of the ecosystem, allowing OyaNow to combine technology with a human-powered service model.

The expansion comes as competition increases across Nigeria’s delivery, fintech and digital-services markets. For OyaNow, bringing payments into its existing ecosystem could create additional opportunities to deepen customer engagement while increasing the number of services users can access through its platform.

The company’s evolution is also notable because it has built its business around convenience and logistics while gradually expanding into adjacent services. In 2024, TechCabal reported that OyaNow had more than 50,000 users, over 500 merchants and thousands of monthly orders.

With the upgraded platform and OyaNow Pay, the company is now betting that AI, digital payments and its existing network can work together to create a more connected experience.

For customers, the goal is simple: fewer separate platforms for everyday needs. For OyaNow, the latest launch represents a push to become more than a delivery company and establish itself as an AI-powered convenience ecosystem built around the changing digital habits of Nigerians.

OyaNow, a Nigerian convenience and logistics technology company, has unveiled an upgraded AI-powered platform alongside OyaNow Pay, expanding its ecosystem beyond delivery and positioning the company as a broader digital convenience platform for individuals and businesses.
