Kredete announced that Gravv had processed more than $3 billion in annualised transaction volume for over 1,000 businesses across more than 100 countries, supported by seven global banking partners.

Gravv describes itself as an agentic stablecoin infrastructure platform, meaning its technology is designed to connect programmable financial workflows with payment and settlement infrastructure. By bringing those capabilities into Kredete, the company says it can make stablecoin settlement, foreign exchange, liquidity and payment rails available directly to businesses building financial products.

The move comes as stablecoins increasingly become part of the infrastructure conversation around cross-border payments. For African markets, where traditional international transfers can involve multiple intermediaries, settlement delays and expensive currency conversions, stablecoin rails offer another way to move value between markets.

Kredete has already built its business around this opportunity. The company says it serves more than six million people, operates across more than 60 markets and processes more than $15 billion in annual volume. Its consumer platform allows users to send money internationally, spend through cards, save and build credit.

The Gravv acquisition extends that infrastructure to other businesses.

Rather than requiring every fintech to build separate relationships with banks, payment providers, liquidity partners and stablecoin networks, Kredete aims to provide a unified infrastructure layer. Its existing API offering supports cross-border payments and payout solutions, while Gravv’s technology adds capabilities around wallets, payments and financial workflows.

The company’s focus on AI adds another dimension. Kredete describes its financial platform as “agentic,” with AI agents capable of carrying out financial actions based on user instructions. Its consumer platform already allows users to initiate transfers and other financial activities through an AI-powered interface.

The acquisition could therefore connect three rapidly developing areas of fintech: artificial intelligence, stablecoins and real-time payments.

For developers, the potential is particularly significant. AI agents need financial infrastructure if they are eventually expected to execute transactions rather than simply recommend them. Stablecoins can provide programmable settlement rails, while APIs can give those agents access to accounts, wallets and payment networks.

Kredete’s previous $22 million Series A was aimed partly at expanding stablecoin-powered transfers across more than 40 African countries and building infrastructure connecting banks and wallets.

The Gravv acquisition builds on that strategy by bringing more of the underlying infrastructure in-house.

The bigger opportunity for Kredete is therefore not simply moving money faster. It is building a financial layer where businesses, developers and AI systems can initiate, route and settle global payments through stablecoin-enabled infrastructure.

Kredete is doubling down on stablecoins and artificial intelligence after acquiring Gravv, bringing the fintech’s stablecoin settlement, multi-currency accounts, foreign-exchange capabilities and payment infrastructure under one roof.
