Cairo-based healthcare startup Anees Health has closed a seed funding round of undisclosed value as it prepares to expand its integrated home healthcare model across Greater Cairo. Founded in 2025, the company is building a clinician-led system designed to manage a patient\u2019s entire care journey rather than providing isolated home medical visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anees Health brings doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists and laboratory services into a coordinated care model. Each patient is assigned a physician responsible for overseeing the overall treatment plan, allowing different services to operate around a single medical record and care strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company says the problem it is addressing is not necessarily the absence of healthcare providers, but the fragmentation that occurs when patients need several services at once. Families may have access to doctors, nurses, rehabilitation specialists or diagnostic services, but often have to coordinate these providers themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anees Health\u2019s model is designed to shift that responsibility to one coordinated team. Care begins with an initial assessment and can continue through treatment, rehabilitation and post-discharge follow-up until the patient\u2019s condition stabilises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology is an important part of the system. The company has developed an in-house electronic health record based on the HL7 FHIR standard for health information exchange. The system enables multidisciplinary teams to work from a unified record while supporting Arabic and English documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup has already delivered more than 1,000 medical and care services since its launch. It says about 70% of patients continue with extended care plans after their first visit, making continuity of care a key performance indicator. Anees Health has also served patients from countries across four continents, including families living abroad who help manage healthcare for relatives in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geriatric medicine sits at the centre of the company\u2019s clinical strategy. Its services target older adults, people living with chronic conditions, patients recovering from illness or surgery, and those undergoing rehabilitation. The company also offers longevity programmes focused on preserving physical and cognitive function as people age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The market opportunity is being shaped by Egypt\u2019s changing demographics. The country\u2019s population aged 60 and above reached approximately 9.8 million in 2025, representing about 9.1% of the population, according to figures cited from Egypt\u2019s Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anees Health plans to use the new capital to expand its geriatric medicine and care-coordination teams, strengthen its clinical and operational infrastructure, extend its coverage across Greater Cairo and deepen post-discharge coordination with partner hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is targeting operational capacity of more than 20,000 visits in 2027. Achieving that goal will require Anees Health to scale its multidisciplinary model while maintaining the physician-led coordination that defines its approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the funding, entrepreneur Ebrahem Anwar has joined the company as a strategic adviser. He brings more than 15 years of business-development experience and has co-founded six companies, including one that reached an exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anees Health\u2019s funding round highlights a growing opportunity for healthcare startups to move beyond on-demand medical services toward coordinated, continuous care. For Egypt\u2019s ageing population and families managing complex healthcare needs, the company\u2019s next phase will test whether technology and multidisciplinary teams can make home-based care more connected and scalable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
