
One of Africa’s most successful tech entrepreneurs has launched a new AI startup and already secured $9 million in seed funding. A co-founder of Flutter and Andela Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, is behind this latest ventures named Magic, which aims revolutionize how people interact with AI across the continent.
Magic is focus on building a platform that allows businesses and governments to harness the power of artificial inetlligence to improve productivity, decision-making and customer engagement. The startup is particularly interested in developing AI application tailored to Africa’s unique linguistic, economic, and cultural context.
The $9 million seed round includes backing from prominent investors such as Alphabet’s Gradient Ventures, AirAngels, and notable African angel investors. The funding will be used to grow Magic’s engineering team, develop its core technology, and expand across multiple African markets.
The founder’s strong track record in building transformative companies has generated high expectations for Magic. He believes Africa has the talent and data to lead in AI innovation and sees this ventures as way to bridge global tecnology with local opportunity, creating AI tools that work for Africans__by Africans.
