In a strong push to ensure that digital transformation leaves no one behind, the government—through its communications minister—has pledged to provide safe, inclusive, and equitable access to digital technology for all citizens. This announcement reflects growing recognition of both the opportunities and challenges associated with rapid digital adoption, especially among vulnerable populations such as children, women, the elderly, and rural dwellers.
The minister acknowledged that while digital tools offer tremendous benefits—improving education, health, economic growth, and governance—they also present risks such as cyberbullying, fraud, exploitation, and data privacy violations. As such, the government is committed to developing a digital ecosystem that is not only innovative but also secure and protective of user rights.
