Africa’s Corporate Giants Honored at ACOYA 2025 for Excellence in Business and Technology.

The African Corporate of the Year Awards (ACOYA) 2025 has spotlighted and honored the continent’s most outstanding businesses and technology firms, marking another milestone in Africa’s corporate excellence. Held in Kigali, Rwanda, the prestigious annual event brought together top executives, policymakers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to recognize companies driving progress, innovation, and sustainable growth across the continent.

ACOYA 2025 featured a rigorous selection process led by a panel of industry experts and analysts. Kenya’s Twiga Foods earned praise for revolutionizing food distribution networks across East Africa through its tech-enabled platform.

In business categories, awards went to companies showing excellence in sectors such as energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, and financial services. Dangote Group was celebrated for its industrial leadership and ongoing investments in infrastructure. Safaricom, the Kenyan telecom giant, received recognition for its innovation in mobile technology and commitment to social impact. Morocco’s OCP Group, a global leader in phosphate-based fertilizers, was acknowledged for its role in ensuring food security across Africa and beyond.

Special honors were given to emerging companies and female-led businesses making significant strides in inclusive growth and innovation. ACOYA 2025 highlighted the critical role of startups and SMEs in shaping Africa’s economic future, as well as the increasing influence of women entrepreneurs and executives.

The event also featured panel discussions, networking forums, and exhibitions, creating a platform for sharing insights on the future of business in Africa. Key themes included digital transformation, climate resilience, youth empowerment, and intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
