Nigeria Partners with GITEX Global to Elevate 300 Youth-Led Startups.

Nigeria has partnered with GITEX Global, one of the world’s largest tech and startup events, to promote and support 300 youth-led startups. This strategic collaboration is spearheaded by the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI) under the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The initiative aims to empower Nigerian tech entrepreneurs by providing them access to global markets, investors, and mentorship opportunities.

As part of this collaboration, Nigerian startups will participate in GITEX Global’s North Star event, scheduled for October 2025 in Dubai. The selected startups will showcase innovations across sectors like fintech, agritech, healthtech, edtech, and AI. The goal is to position Nigeria as a key player in the global digital economy by showcasing its emerging talent and innovative solutions.

This move aligns with Nigeria’s broader digital transformation strategy and efforts to boost youth employment and entrepreneurship. It also reflects the country’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for startups to scale and attract international investment. Through exposure at GITEX, the startups will gain insights, build networks, and potentially secure funding, strengthening Nigeria’s position as a tech innovation hub in Africa and beyond.
