Lagos — The vibrant tech city of Lagos played host to Onchain Festival 2025, a landmark gathering billed as Africa’s largest Web3 and blockchain festival. The event took place on October 30, 2025 at The Dome, Lekki, drawing founders, creators, investors, and blockchain enthusiasts from across the continent.
Organised by Bchain Africa under the theme “Celebrating the African Renaissance”, the festival showcased how Africans are harnessing blockchain and Web3 technologies to drive innovation across finance, gaming, the creator economy and more.
The atmosphere at The Dome was electric —hundreds of participants took part in keynote sessions, panel discussions, hands‑on workshops, and networking sessions. Prominent voices from the community, including founders, artists, developers, and ecosystem leaders, addressed topics such as decentralized finance (DeFi), digital identity, blockchain gaming, and the role of creators in the on‑chain economy.
Startups and projects such as Bitsave, Importa Pay, Zerocard and others exhibited their blockchain‑based solutions — from payments to NFTs — while a live demonstration by Shugar Mining illustrated the future of crypto mining in Africa. But Onchain Festival 2025 was more than just exhibitions and talks.
