Africa Tech Summit London has announced 13 high-growth startups selected for its Investment Showcase at the summit’s landmark 10th edition, scheduled to be held at the London Stock Exchange on May 29, 2026. The annual event, regarded as one of the leading African tech gatherings in Europe, will bring together more than 350 founders, investors, corporates, and policymakers to explore investment and partnership opportunities across Africa’s fast-growing digital economy.
The selected ventures represent diverse sectors, including fintech, healthtech, mobility, AI, travel infrastructure, climate tech, and creator economy solutions. Nigerian startups dominated the final list, highlighting the country’s continued influence within Africa’s innovation ecosystem. Ventures chosen for the showcase include Aktivate, Bunce, Orbit Electric, ProDevs, Reisty, Redbiller Technologies, Scandium Systems, and UltraPay, alongside startups from Ghana, Togo, France, and the United Kingdom.
Among the standout companies is Orbit Electric, which builds IoT-enabled electric motorcycles for delivery riders in Lagos using pay-as-you-go financing. Scandium Systems is attracting attention with its AI-powered software testing platform, while UltraPay is simplifying global spending through a multi-asset payment card that supports crypto, stocks, and fiat currencies. Aktivate, another Nigerian startup, is building tools that help African creators collaborate with brands and receive cross-border payments seamlessly.
According to the organisers, more than 200 startups applied for this year’s showcase, reflecting the rapid growth and maturity of Africa’s startup ecosystem. Marc Mugenwa, Business Development Manager at Africa Tech Summit, said the quality of applications continues to improve as African startups become increasingly investor-ready and globally competitive.
Over the past decade, Africa Tech Summit London has connected more than 100 African startups with international investors and business leaders, helping ventures secure funding, partnerships, and market visibility. The 2026 edition is expected to further strengthen ties between African innovators and global capital markets while showcasing the continent’s growing role in global technology and entrepreneurship.
